4th WORKSHOP ON EXPLOSIVE BEHAVIORS
The Physics and Chemistry of Modified Explosives

TECHNICAL FOCUS
In recent years there has been increased interest in many aspects of modified explosives, such as aluminized compositions, metastable intermolecular composites (MIC), thermobarics, high-nitrogen compounds, multi-phase blast explosives (MBX) and insensitive high explosives (IHE), driven by goals varying from specific performance enhancements to safety and environmental issues. This interest has led to the formulation and synthesis of a range of new compositions with more complex behaviors than many traditional explosives. This meeting will cover all aspects of these new materials, with particular emphasis on the following areas:

MEETING FORMAT
Following the successful format of the previous workshops, this meeting will be unclassified and informal in nature, and limited to around 50 participants, providing plenty of opportunity for detailed discussions, questions and interactions. Each day begins with an invited presentation, followed by contributed talks. Meals are included to facilitate continued discussions.

Location
The Bishop's Lodge provides a relaxed setting for the meetings, with classroom style seating, great food and an exceptional location.
